Credit Card and Memory Fail!

So, today was shopping day for work and I was getting some things for the kiddies Harvest of the Month activity for this Thursday.  As I was picking up the last few things I needed, I got this phone call from my father saying that my credit card company had just called and said they wanted to verify the activity on my card.  Well, I DID spend quite a bit recently...2 online purchases and airline tickets that might have looked funny, so I told him I would go back as soon as I was done to call.

So, after doing a few work things, I went back home and called the company and I was verifying a bunch of things...

man: "when was the last time you used your card?"
me: "umm...well I have been using it all week...I made 3 online purchases, ae, yesstyle, virgin america airlines..."

man: "any little purchases?"
me: "OH!  I went to a bakery yesterday and bought my mom a cake?"
man: "$14.95?"
me: "yes"

man: "and you purchased something from american eagle outfitters.... $83..."
me: "yes"

man: "and a purchase that was ($400 something)"
me:  "what?"
man:  "($400 something)?"
me:  "ummm... where was this at?"
man: "DSW"
me: "ohhhhhhhh...yeaaaah, me sister and I took my mom shopping...I forgot about that"

man: "well, nothing seems irregular then.  MasterCard called and notified us that some credit card numbers were stolen and yours was one of them."
me: "realllllllly...so what happens now?"
man: "we will issue you a new card and you will get it 7-10 days."
me: "well...that is really the only card I use..."
man: "we can expedite a new one to you and you should get it in 24 hours or at latest Friday"
me: "is that an extra charge on me?"
man: "no, I can definitely get that waived for you"
me: "okay, great."

After this conversation, I realized one thing, other than dealing with all of this is a big hassle and that is...I am spending a lot and  I am NOT remembering what I am charging...and that is NOT a good thing -_-
